Animator’s Survival Kit – Day 1

To keep up my practice, I’m animating from the examples in Richard Williams’ book The Animator’s Survival Kit

“A walk is the first thing to learn. Learn walks of all kinds, ’cause walks are about the toughest thing to do right.”
-Ken Harris

Seance from The Umbrella Academy. If you haven’t read this brilliant comic, do so at next opportunity.

Doodling at my restaurant job.

I’m basing the main character of Eschaton on Terry O’Quinn, who plays Locke in LOST.

Graphite value studies from the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. I’m weak on value, so I’ve been practicing.

Here’s some doodles I did during the Boston Sci-Fi Marathon

After watching District 9

Showing my brother that I could draw Han Solo from memory
